Notes from the LYS Board of Directors

Hi All!

I wanted to let you know of some exciting things that we’re doing at LYS. In the upcoming weeks, you’ll see a number of surveys that are meant to help LYS be a better organization. Topics will include ways to improve our communication, website, social media, and others.  We’d greatly appreciate having you provide constructive feedback in the surveys. It will only help to make us a better and stronger organization in our effort to continue to grow the “Premier Youth Orchestra of Northern Colorado”.

One thing the board is very excited about is the creation of an annual Giving Circle for LYS. The levels are as follows:

Golden Batons ($5000+)

Maestro‘s Circle ($1000-$5000)

Concertmaster’s Circle ($500-$1000)

Patrons ($250-$500)

Friends ($1-$249)

The giving circle will allow donations from individuals, companies, and grant providers to be recognized for helping secure LYS’s continued future success. If you would like to donate, know someone who would like to donate, or are employed or know of a company or corporation that would like to donate, please get them in touch with our Executive Director, Kristen Beeman or myself. We have a number of ways that contributions can be utilized. Remember that all donations are 100% tax deductible! We’re still working out the final details, but are very excited to create this for LYS.

We are always looking for new board members. If you have a passion for kids, then consider joining us. Please feel free to email me skrueger@longmontyouthsymphony or Kristen info@longmontyouthsymphony if you have any questions.

Finally, I would like to personally thank all of our musicians who have created some phenomenal music this season. As we wind down towards the season finale in May, I would like to especially recognize all of our seniors who will be graduating and moving on to bigger and better things. We wish them all the best!

With Musical Gratitude,
Scott Krueger
LYS Board President
