Longmont Junior Youth Symphony Auditions




The Longmont Junior Youth Symphony auditions the following instruments:
 

  • Violin I/II
  • Viola
  • Cello
  • Bass

Audition Requirements

  • Young musicians interested in playing with LJYS should have experience playing in up to 3 sharps and 2 flats and able to read dotted rhythms. (This is equivalent to late book 2 Suzuki if the musician can read at playing level).
  • One fast and one slow piece, demonstrating contrasting styles and techniques. (That is, One piece that is in a staccato style and one in legato.)
  • Some sight-reading may be required.

The entire audition will not exceed 15 minutes.
