- Auditions. New member auditions and auditions for LYS
string musicians
will take place on August 26, 2006. Call the LYS office to schedule an
appointment.
- Parent Meeting. September 9 at SilverCreek High
School. Parents and
guardians of all LYS and JYS members are encouraged to attend.
- Oktoberfest. September 8 and 9, downtown Longmont. This
is a Longmont
Symphony Orchestra event, and the Longmont Youth Symphony participates by
helping at the Pretzel Booths. Please visit the LSO website for more
details.
- Longmont Youth Symphony Fall Retreat. September 15-17
the LYS
membership goes to YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park for a weekend of
music and games.
No charge for all LYS members.
- Notes & Noodles. November 18, 1:00 pm, location to be
determined in
Longmont. Come in, enjoy a wonderful dinner, and bid on some delicious
desserts!
- 2007 Silent Auction. Details to follow
- Spring Clinic. March 24, 2007 the LYS will host its
third annual Spring
Clinic for all LYS and JYS members. Master Classes and Sectional
Instruction
will take place at SilverCreek High School from 9:00am till 2:00pm.

- End of Year Picnic. May 2007 will be our end of year
picnic and BBQ.
Date and location to be determined.
- Other Activities include ensemble program for both LYS
and JYS musicians
and field trip opportunities for JYS musicians and their families.
