Audition Requirements
- Prospective LYS members should be prepared to play a 2 or 3 octave
scale, whichever is appropriate for their instrument. (String players
should play a scale that requires shifting positions)
- One fast and one slow piece, demonstrating contrasting styles and
techniques. (That is, One piece that is in a staccato style and one in
legato.)
- Some sight-reading may be required.
The entire audition will not
exceed 15 minutes.
